Medellín Memory and Resilience Tour

⏱ 5 horas

This tour invites you to learn about one of the most complex stages in Medellín's recent history from a reflective and respectful perspective. Through symbolic places, the tour emphasizes the memory of the victims, the resilience of the city

Accompanied by a professional guide, you will visit some of the places that marked a decisive chapter in the country's recent history during the time of the abused drug trafficker Pablo Escobar. Along the way, you will learn about contexts and stories that allow us to understand the impact of drug trafficking and how Medellín has re-signified these spaces as symbols of memory and collective reflection.

You will visit areas such as El Poblado and the Inflexión Memorial Park, built on the site where the Monaco Building once stood, now converted into a tribute to the victims. There is also an outdoor stop at the house where Pablo Escobar died and a visit to the Jardines Montesacro Cemetery Park, integrating the tour from a historical and respectful perspective.

The tour closes at the Casa de la Memoria Museum, a space dedicated to understanding and overcoming the armed conflict and the different forms of violence that affected Medellín, Antioquia and Colombia, inviting reflection and understanding of the present.

Notes:

  • The visit to the Casa de la Memoria Museum is subject to closure without prior notice; admission is free.
  • The tour applies only to hotels located in El Poblado and Laureles.
