Discovering Cartagena Excursion

The tour begins in the modern area of Bocagrande, where contrasts are observed between contemporary Cartagena and its historical heritage. Then we visit the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, built in 1657, one of the most important military buildings in America and a symbol of the city's defensive system.
The route continues with a walk through the historic center of Cartagena, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO along with the castle and the fortifications. During the tour, you can see streets, squares and buildings that reflect the colonial and republican architecture of the city.
Finally, you ascend to the Convento de la Popa, founded in 1606 and located at the highest point in Cartagena. From there you get a panoramic view of the city and the Caribbean Sea, in addition to knowing the religious and cultural value of this site dedicated to the Virgin of Candlemas. At the end, the return to the hotel is made.
