Get to know one of the most important sacred places in Colombia's pre-Hispanic history very close to Bogotá with natural landscapes, ancient tradition and a town with a unique architectural identity.

The route starts from the hotel to the north of Bogotá, crossing the Sabana until reachingZipaquirá. There you visit theSalt Cathedral, a Catholic temple built 180 meters underground in former mining tunnels, which explains the importance of salt in the economic and cultural history of the territory.

There you will enjoy a typical lunch that includes traditional preparations such as ajiaco and potatoes cooked in brine, then we head to theGuatavita Lagoon, a sacred site for the Muiscas and the origin of the legend of El Dorado. There you will walk along natural trails while discovering the meaning of ancient rituals, access to the lagoon involves high hikes and has a panoramic alternative in the town of Guatavita La Nueva, attractive for its Colonial architecture. At the end, you will return to your hotel.

The tour includes transportation, professional guide, tickets to the Salt Cathedral and the Guatavita Natural Park, and a typical lunch. It operates from Tuesday to Sunday, with a duration of approximately 10 hours.
